ABOUT ME

When I was a child, I saw a ghost in my grandfather's parlor. Ever since, I've been fascinated by the paranormal. My novels combine interest in the paranormal with a love of classic and noir mysteries.

I’ve been a newspaper reporter, sailor, military officer, television news producer, public relations executive, and publishing company owner. My wife and I live in Pensacola, Florida, but try to spend as much time as possible at our cabin on Lookout Mountain in Alabama.

I hold an undergraduate degree in English from Kent State University, and an M. A. in Film Production from the University of Southern California.

Although a friend and I wrote a novel together in high school, it was Stephen King’s book, 11/22/63, that inspired me to write my first book, Debunker: Independence Day, in 2013.

If there is any merit in my efforts, I owe much of the credit to the teachers who inspired me. Patricia Wiegand, my 7th grade English teacher, encouraged me to write my stories down. My 10th grade English teacher, Henry Kellner, was a guide as well as a great counselor. Special thanks to the late Richard Ehlke, my first college English instructor, who inspired a lifelong love of all things literary.
